Connect with the artist:
Chris and Michaela create ceramic pieces that reflect the beauty of the area, using words, textures and simple sketches. The words used are Chris's own poetry.
Chris and Michaela use raku and stoneware clay along with imagery, lines and textures. Both are inspired by the beauty of Cowal. The house and studios are surrounded by hills, trees and water so it’s easy to see where the inspiration comes from. They work together in their garden studio and woodshed, making a range of work from wee treasures through to larger sculptural pieces, with some functional work and artworks of various sizes for the wall.
You are warmly invited to come and visit the studio, browse the finished work and even make your own wee ceramic artwork – any age, no experience required, at a small cost.
Some of Chris’s published poetry books will also be for sale and you can find out more about the poetry and pottery workshops on offer too.
You are welcome to drive down to the house and studio, or park on the road. There are small steps down to the studio and a small step in. The toilet is up a staircase within the house.
